The Department of English Education at Mokpo National University, South Korea, seeks a tenure-track assistant professor of Linguistics or TESOL.

1. Qualifications
a. A doctoral degree in Linguistics or TESOL
b. A non-Korean, native speaker of English
c. Two articles (200%) in SSCI, A&HCI, SCOPUS, or KCI indexed journals
d. At least one-year college level teaching experience
e. Should be able to teach college-level English phonetic & phonology courses

2. Benefits
a. The employment for this full-time position is secured by the Korean government’s employment policy and the University’s employment regulations. If employed, you can be promoted to a higher position in accordance with Mokpo National University regulations. The initial length of the employment contract is for four years or five years depending on your qualifications.
b. You are paid monthly including during summer and winter months when school is not in session.
c. National pension and health insurance provided.
d. An efficiency apartment on campus with the basic utilities costing approximately $200 per month (available for singles only)

i) At least two and up to four articles in SSCI, A&HCI, SCOPUS, or KCI indexed journals since May 12, 2013. (Submit one copy of the journal and one of the extra copies you received from the publisher for each of your published articles.)
ii) A photocopy of the cover of the journal where your paper was published and a photocopy of the contents of the journal for each of your articles.
iii) If an original copy of your journal is not available, submit a photocopy of the cover of the journal where your paper was published, a photocopy of the contents of the journal, the pages where your article appears, and the page where the date of publication is printed for each of your research papers. Be sure to sign each copy. Alternatively, you may visit the website of your journal publisher and find the page(s) where all of the above information about your papers appears, and print them out. Again, be sure to sign each copy before submission.
iv) One-page abstracts for the two research papers that you think have been the most favorably reviewed upon among your research papers

j. A statement of research and teaching objectives (Describe your research and teaching plan for the two years after being employed. Maximum two pages.)
k. Official documents issued in languages other than Korean or English should be submitted with the undersigned translation in either Korean or English.
