Yong In University 

The International Cooperation and Education Center (ICEC) of Yong In University (www.yongin.ac.kr) is seeking 3 full-time (non-tenure track) foreign faculty members to teach Business and Practical English classes, starting March 1st, 2017.

Yong In University is a private university located in Yongin city in the Gyeonggi province of South Korea, approximately 45 km south-east of Seoul.

1. Job Description

Job title: Full-time Assistant Professor (3)
Job field: Business and Practical English
Department: ICEC
Contract period: 2 years (can be renewed based on performance and university employment regulations); March 1st, 2017 to February 28th, 2019

2. Qualifications and Requirements

1) Applicants are required to have the following educational background from universities or higher educational institutions by the application deadline:
1. Holder of doctor’s degree (PhD) or expected to receive by February, 2017.
2. Holder of master’s degree with:
* Minimum of 2 years teaching and research experience at university level in the inviting field
* Teaching experience of less than 5 hrs a week will not be qualified
2) Applicants must be of foreign native English speaking nationality
3) Applicants must have Business or related majors

3. Salary, working conditions, and benefits

1) Teaching requirement and annual salary:
12 hours per week: 35,667,000 KRW (tax and utility costs included)

+ overtime lecture fees
2) Housing: either university housing (studio apartment for single) or monthly living expenses (400,000 KRW per month)
3) Required work hours: minimum of 4 business days, 12 hours per week
(Potential for additional overtime) and some evening classes are possible
4) Office will be shared with another faculty member
